Audio: Journey to the Mountain of the Nine Muses - Acapella ... Tribal/Sacral/Throat/Classical Vocals
This Audio is livicated to Woden, Saga and the Nine Olympic Muses ... let inspiration and creation flow forever ...
If we want to develop, learn, we have to move, to travel ... sometimes pretty far.
Anyhow ... the art is, in spite of all this travelling, to not forget our roots, our true home ... And to ... after some time ... return with all the gathered treasures to enrich the places and spaces we originally came from ....
Please note and respect: All vocals, lyrics, composition and mix © Ann-Uta Beißwenger 2018
This "opus" tells the sung story of a journey ... a typical northern theme ... the quest for gaining wisdom/knowledge in this case in the shape of songs and harmonies. Some times ago "my main Muses" sent me to the Helikon, the traditional and holy greek mountain where the Nine Muses gather and live. (Ok, according to some sources they dwell on the Olymp to provide beautiful songs and music, especially for their popuar father Zeus).
In either case the Nine Muses are the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne (The Goddess of Memory), which makes pretty much sense to me.
In my chant I refer to the (olympic) Nine Muses, these are according to various historical records (see for example Hesiod's Theogonia) and to my personal "musings" Klio (remembering, collection of historical stuff), Kalliope (the One with the beautiful voice, reciting One, inspiring epics, speeches and sciences, Patroness of Philosophers and Scientists), Melpomene (the One in charge of "tragics and dramatics")), Terpsichore (inspiring dancers, rhythm-folk and players of strings likewise), Thalia (the Comedian), Euterpe (the Giver of melodies and poetry; Patroness of flutists and poets), Erato (kindeling longing for loved ones, inspiring "Minnesang" and love-poetry), Urania (Wisdom of the Stars) and Polyhymnia (the Wielder of songs and hymns).
And - yes, I am aware my pronouncation does not follow the various existing "phonetic rules" ... I just followed my inspiration which pretty often does not care about rules (sorry, "professional folk") ....
